Princess Victoria’s Name Day

Crown Princess Victoria celebrated her name day yesterday with a traditional ceremony held in inner square of the Royal Palace in Stockholm. While she did not wear a hat, Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar kept warm in snug knit caps. And yes- many adorable snaps were taken.

Queen Margrethe has been hand picking images to share during each day of Advent on the Danish Monarchy’s social media- one of the pictures this week included this one of herself and a young Princess Benedikte celebrating Santa Lucia.

Danish millinery Susanne Juul (who makes many of the hats worn by Crown Princess Mary and Princess Benedikte) celebrated her 25th anniversary this week. Congratulations!

News broke this week about a new relationship for Prince Harry. If you read one thing about American actress Meghan Markle, let it be this post on her blog, in her own words. Impressive.

And finally… the much anticipated Netflix series “The Crown” was released this weekend. If you’re able to overlooking some glaring historical inaccuracies (the addition of Wallis Simpson’s presence at the abdication of King Edward VIII, for example), the scale of production is impressive and the costumes are glorious. I’d love to hear what you think of it.
