Queen Máxima Attends Youth Concert

On Tuesday, May 13, Queen Máxima attended a symphony concert geared toward young people (she joined an audience of 500 primary school children) performed by the Arnhem Philharmonic Orchestra. In keeping with the youthful and fun tone of this engagement, she wore a pale pink petal fascinator headband. While the colour is a little bland for this vibrant young queen, the idea of this headpiece is fun. I’m just not sure this was the right outfit to pair it with.

  1. Hmmm, I can’t seem to decide. But there is one thing I am sure of … And that is Maxima in those pants – WOW they look a treat!!! Dare I say, (am I allowed to say this about a queen)…they look HOT. I’ll have to give the headband some more consideration, but at first glance I think it’s okay. Lovely soft colour, just like the pants. Thanks.

  2. I think she is exhausted. I saw another picture of her in a different outfit and it was not attractive either.

  3. Not an attractive look, but perhaps Máxima’s recent sloppy hair/hat choices make her extremely popular with Dutch youth. Although I do not like most of Máxima’s recent hat choices, she has developed her own style, and one can’t help but be impressed with the queen’s constant enthusiasm.

  4. Wrong, wrong, wrong in my book! The headband looks way too dressy to wear with the dress/jacket she has on. In addition the hairband looks like a throw back to something someone would have their bridesmaids wear in the 80s after all the big hats of the 70s were done and the goofy little hats some wore in the early 80s. She should have gone without anything in her hair – or if she HAD to wear this thing, put her hair up and work the band into the hair might have mad it a tad more passable.
