Last Monday, Empress Masako repeated an ivory hat with domed crown and short brim for the Japan Art Academy Awards

 

On Wednesday, Princess Alexandra repeated a pale slate blue/grey hat with dotted veil trim for a memorial.

On Thursday, the Luxembourg grand ducal family celebrated their country’s national holiday. Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie repeated a fuchsia sinamay rolled edge headpiece studded with white silk flowers (she wore it to this same event in 2014) while Princess Alexandra repeated an ecru embellished flapper style headpiece with acid green silk flower on the side.

On Friday, Queen Margrethe presented the “Queen’s Clock” military award and on Saturday, she opened a museum about flight in Oksboel. She repeated pink hats for these events.

We met a new royal hat wearer this week, young Lilibet, who made her debut in the  ‘Lily’ Lace Bow Headband by Village Baby

On Monday, Members of the Mikasa and Takamado families attended a memorial on the 10th anniversary of Prince Tomohito’s passing.

On Tuesday, Princess Hisako repeated a pale silvery blue brocade bumper hat with calla lily trim on the side for an award ceremony

On Wednesday, Vice Admiral Timothy Laurence presided over the annual  Founder’s Day Parade at Royal Hospital Chelsea.

On May 15, Princess Akiko of Mikasa attended the scaled down Aoi Matsuri at Kamigamo Shrine in Kyoto in a simple white brimmed hat with ecru ruched hatband.

Last weekend, Crown Princess Kiko wore a black silk hat with mushroom brim for a memorial event. Princess Nobuko wore a bumper hat covered in beige lace with silk pleated trim for an event at Fujita Health University.

Last weekend, the Duchess of Sussex wore a wide brimmed hat to a polo match. I believe the design, with crin brim, was a ready-to-wear mass produced piece.
Princess Beatrice wore a black hairbow Monday at the Chelsea Flower Show and Princess Michael of Kent wore a chic tan leather newsboy cap to the same event.

Queen Sonja repeated her taupe leather pillbox Thursday at the opening of the Bergen Festival.
The Duke of Cambridge was spotted yesterday rehearsing for next Thursday’s Trooping the Colour. This year, it will be the Irish Guards Trooping their Colour and Prince William is the regiment’s Colonel.
