Crown Prince Haakon and Princess Ingrid visited an Arctic research facility today in cosy hats 
King Mohammed opened a new high-speed rail line in Rabat this morning. He was joined by French President Macron on Thursday to inaugurate the railway that boasts the fastest journey times in Africa and the Arab world.

Princess Sofia participated in the women’s Tjejvasan Cross Country Ski Race yesterday, cheered on by Prince Carl Philip, Prince Alexander, Prince Gabriel and her parents.


Fabienne Delvigne announced the oping of an e-shop where you can purchase her millinery and accessory designs.

The Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design was given to designer Richard Quinn this week (see final photo in this post). The actual award was designed by Angela Kelly who was profiled in this Vogue article.

I don’t imagine we’ll see these on royal heads but the saucer and percher designs trimmed with food by Israeli milliner Maor Zabar are most certainly memorable.

Princess Märtha Louise, who is an accomplished equestrian, showed that talent for this sport has passed to a new generation of Norwegian royal family members with this video of her daughter Leah’s first international competition.

The entire Danish royal family joined Queen Margrethe to watch soldiers from the Royal Guard bring Prince Henrik’s remains to Parliament’s church in Copenhagen last night, where it will remain for members of the public to visit until Monday.

The exhibition “The House of Dior: Seventy Years of Haute Couture” opens tomorrow at the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne. The opening will include several floor talks and a conversation with British millinery Stephen Jones who will share stories about his 20 years spent designing hats for Dior. Contact the museum for tickets.
