Happy New Year! We’re ushering in 2020 today with a look back at hats worn last year. During September and October 2019, we saw a number of new royal hats at openings of parliament and the Imperial enthronement, among other events, which, based on your comments, truly impressed. We’re going to look back at these thirteen admirable designs and choose one to be put forward in our countdown to your Favourite New Royal Hat of 2019.

Fantastic Hat!!!
This was such a tricky vote as I found it so hard to pick an outstanding favourite, Like others, I have split my vote!
Happy New Year 2020! Love these hats and had to vote for several since I couldn’t make up my mind.
Same here!
Me too!
Please note Princess Mary’s hat is a Jane Taylor not Philip Treacy item 10 worn to the enthronement in Japan
Correction made. Thanks!
How lovely to greet 2020 with a look back at these. It’s an especially strong line-up with the enthronement looks.
Best wishes for the new year, everyone!
